ITP for tankers
1.3 m x 0.8 m - an opening of this size is required to use the ITP in a tanker. A jig on the tank opening specially constructed for the purpose assists with installation of the ITP. Once the assignment has been completed successfully, there are two possible ways of closing the opening. A temporary opening is completely re-sealed after the assignment; an opening with a tank dome is permanently mounted on newly constructed ships or existing ships and sealed off with a cover. This makes using the ITP again so much more flexible.
